Effect: The magician explains that he and the spectator are going to take an imaginary trip to a casino. There they will play a game of roulette. The magician introduces the props for the game. A toy roulette wheel, the roulette game layout and an envelope with the magicians prediction. The performer explains he had a premanition of what is about to happen at the casino. He explains that in the envelope is his prediction of what is about to happen.
The performer explains (using the roulette layout), that you can usually bet on single numbers, groups of numbers, odd or even numbers, colors, etc. For our demonstration lets first pick a color to go with. To do this, the magician has the spectator cut a deck of cards to determine if the color will be black or red. The spectator cuts to a black card.
The performer than explains that he will spin the roulette wheel, the spectator will drop the ball onto the rotating wheel. The first black number that the ball lands on will be the winning number. If the ball lands on a red number or the green 0 number, we spin again. When the ball lands on the black number, the magician opens his prediction, and to the spectators suprise, the predicted number matches that of on the roulette wheel.
